Bareback Vids Review

The guys on Bareback Vids don't have a latex fetish and this is obvious from their dislike of using condoms. They take a lot of chances fucking one another with their cocks unsheathed, but this is part of the attraction and excitement for a site like this one.

BarebackVids is part of a network called the MassiveGayPass, so access to the one site gives you a total of 29 sites. RaunchyBareback and RealBareback are the only two other sites specifically focussed on sex without condoms, but there are other exciting niches found on sites like AnalDiscipline, BrokeAndHorny and GayXXXOrgy. Collectively, you'll find over 2000 videos, although Bareback Vids only delivers 45 scenes. There is a news feed, but there aren't live cams with the membership.

Things are fairly organized and navigation is a breeze. You can search by individual sites, a selection of them or all of them and you can cross-check the sites with numerous hardcore niche categories. Also, there are tons of sorting features and you can also choose to display content by thumbnail or by a detailed view. Whatever your preference for browsing, you won't feel lost or confused.

45 scenes does not seem like a lot and frankly, it isn't, but at least this site appears to be growing. Updates come once a month, which is a bit slow, but with all the bonus sites it won't feel like very long, at all. However, the site was initially launched in 2007 and at one point in time there was triple the amount of content. This feels a little odd to me. I'm not sure why there are so few movies. I'm like to think that the site has been re-launched and contains new content than it once did, but this doesn't appear to be the case. It feels like the scenes are being recycled. However, with this said, the content itself is exclusive and there aren't download limits, which is some good news.

The scenes come with sets of photos. These can be downloaded in Zip files, but they tend to be 640x480 screen caps that are blurry and not really worth the time to download. On the other hand, at least the pictures can walk you through the action of any movie before you download the flicks. However, the scene description and the list of category tags can do this just as easily, as well. Some pictures are even smaller sized, but at least when smaller they don't seem as blurry. Of course, I can't really see too many people caring much about the photos on Bareback Vids.

The videos are on a separate page. There are seven minute flicks and there are 38 minute episodes, although the average movie is about 20 minutes long. Downloads felt slow to me, which was surprising considering the quality. There are embedded Flash streams offered in low, medium and high qualities and there are three MP4 downloads. The best quality appeared to be 1930kbps, 640x480, which may have been wonderful at the turn of the millennium, but hardly seem worthwhile as we head into 2013. The biggest problem is that you can really even bank on movies this good because similar to the photo sizes, the video quality is also a bit inconsistent.

Final Verdict

I like the concept of raw, condomless hardcore action and there is no question that this is exactly what Bareback Vids delivers. The updates are a bit slow, but they are coming and there are thousands of extra gay bareback and other niche hardcore videos when you take the entire network into consideration. However, the inconsistency and the less than stellar quality of BarebackVids really is a bummer. I wouldn't likely join for this site alone, but with another 29 gay sites at your beck and call, it doesn't seem like too bad of a deal.
